Wealth Management Strategy

Brian gathers information on his client’s current situation, concerns, risk tolerance, and their goals. The core of my wealth management philosophy is to leverage specialists from my professional network as well as various Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. I draw on these resources and oversee the team, so they act as one cohesive unit when addressing each client's complex wealth management needs, including tax efficient investment and legacy strategies, retirement strategies, insurance and gifting strategies.

Brian has more than 40 years of experience, I use a holistic approach by creating integrated strategies designed to balance risk to help clients achieve their investment goals.

I built my experience as a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager at a series of Wells Fargo Advisors predecessor firms, including Quinn & Co., Wachovia Securities and A.G. Edwards. My educational background includes attending the New Mexico Military Institute and then graduating from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.

Recognizing the importance of providing my clients with comprehensive, customized investment planning solutions, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional certification in 2007 from the College for Financial Planning. To earn my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification, I completed hundreds of hours of in-depth educational programs, passed rigorous examinations and met stringent requirements for experience.

Family & Community

I am active in the community and participate in many civic and community organizations, including President of Assurance Home Foundation, former Chairman for Lone Tree Inc. and board member of Harvest Ministries.

I have lived in Roswell for over 40 years and our family includes four children and eleven grandchildren. My extended family has lived in Roswell since the early 1900s. In my free time, I enjoy golf, traveling, and watching my grandchildren grow up. I lost my wife of 43 years in 2022, so I have poured my heart into the Lord and my family.

I draw on these resources to help my clients build strategies for investments, liability management, risk management, as well as offering access to lending and banking services through Wells Fargo affiliates.

Background

My extended family has lived in Roswell since the early 1900s. I was raised by two Christian parents who — to this day — I still look up to. I graduated from Gateway Christian high school and went on to play golf for Odessa junior-college in Texas. After two years, I transferred to New Mexico State where I continued my education in business marketing. In 2005, I along with several partners formed Chris Stokes Golf LLC, where I pursued a career as a professional golfer for four years.

In 2010, I started my career as a Financial Advisor working for Wells Fargo Advisors where I learned the value of giving back and helping people achieve their financial goals in order to pursue their lifetime passions. In 2011, my father, Brian Stokes, and I formed Stokes Wealth Management Group where we continue to support individuals, families, companies and institutions within the community and across the United States. To help deliver outstanding service to my clients, I have completed several practice management programs offered by Wells Fargo Advisors and continue to actively participate in ongoing programs to learn new best practices and philosopies.

Family & Community

I spend most of my free time with my wife Madison and our three wonderful children. Maddie and I enjoy spending time with our family, our church, going to the gym, camping with friends, watching movies, skiing (when we get snow) and of course playing golf. I am active in the community and I'm a member of the Rotary Club of Roswell and a board member of the Roswell Symphony foundation.

Having 15 years in the financial services, I provide an exceptional client experience. I go beyond to build relationships with clients and work with the Financial Advisors to help them achieve their goals. I take pride in assisting clients with all aspects of their financial needs and online services. I am fully licensed and able to work with the Advisors to help execute the needs of our clients.

I was first introduced to the financial services industry in 2008 when I began working for Bank of The Southwest as a teller. In 2009, I moved to Bank of America and was able to grow my customer service skills even more. I was at Bank of America until 2013, which is when I started working for Wells Fargo Bank. At Wells Fargo Bank I started as a Personal Banker and grew into a managerial role, Service Manager. I was nominated for the License Banker Position and obtained my FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 securities registrations. I obtained the role of the Premier Banker position for the district. In 2021, I joined Stokes Wealth Management Group, which I am so proud to be a part of the team!

I have lived in Roswell for my entire life. My husband and I established roots in the country with our 5 children and love country living. We spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy camping with our family. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball for the Roswell Recreation Center, and traveling. I am active in the community and participate in the Youth and High school wrestling programs and I am in the Goddard Band Booster Club. I also volunteer with the Chaves County Sherriff’s department.

I have worked in the financial services industry for 12+years. I started my financial journey my junior year of high school with First American Bank as a teller, this is where I learned and developed customer service skills. It was then after college, I started working for Wells Fargo Bank for 6+yrs. as a teller, lead teller, and then banker. In 2022 I started working for Stokes Wealth Management where I plan to continue my education more on the investment side of this industry. Happy to be a part of a great team!

I spend all of my free time with my husband Steven, our four children and our three dogs! We enjoy traveling, watching movies and most of all spending time with our family as much as we can. Steven and I also run a business that keeps us very busy and active in the community.

As an Administrative Assistant, I am happy to help our clients by answering phone calls or greeting you when walking into Stokes Wealth Management Group. With my Organizational skills, I help to keep our clients information secure and organized to provide more effective and positive experience. I’m honored to have joined the Stokes Wealth Management Group Team in 2022.

I have lived in Roswell New Mexico my entire life. After graduating Roswell High School I went off to graduate from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell with my associates in Business Administration.

Having perused music programs since a young child, I am passionate about Music as I have supported the Roswell Symphony and volunteered time into Roswell Community Band. Summer is my second favorite time of the year as I get to be more active outside and take long walks with my pride and joy Chicken Nugget, my white tabby cat.
